Stephen King - Lead facilitator

Stephen King has supported some of the world’s most well-known figures in IT and telecom - Bill Gates, Jorma Ollila and John Chambers - during their visits to the Middle East. He has launched one man-made island in Qatar and introduced one of the most iconic hotels in the world on the Palm Dubai. Most recently he led the corporate social responsibility strategy for the Etisalat Group - providing educational, employment and longevity for young people and women across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Today as an adjunct lecturer with Middlesex University in Dubai, Stephen is one of the world’s first educators specialised in bringing the ‘Global Goals’ to the world’s youth. So far he has inspired more than 60 'millennials' from 17 different countries - and next year he will do it again.

He is also advocating the SDG’s to EMEA’s PR community through his positions on the Chartered Institute of PR’s International Committee and the Middle East PR Association.

Stephen is passionate about TGG5 - gender equality, TGG12 - sustainable production and consumption and TGG 17 - developing partnerships for the goals.

Mia Jafari - Program Director

Mia is a start-up entrepreneur and graphic designer specialising in sustainable fashion ( She is also an accomplished program developer supporting social entrepreneurs align their business with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

She graduated in Design and Visual Arts from both Central Saint Martins, and Goldsmiths, University of London. She is also a PGCE (Certificate in Post 16 Education) qualified educator.

Most recently she has put these qualifications to good use leading entrepreneurship programs at Impact Hub Dubai and Impact Hub Kings Cross, inspiring youth to design social businesses to address the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030.

Mia designs, prepares and delivers learning packages that are interactive, hands-on and foster collaboration in order to grow innovation and empower an entrepreneurial culture.
